Spinner Dolphin
As mentioned earlier I much prefer the peace and quiet of Marsa Shagra, a four hour drive south of Hurghada, to the hurly burly of the tourism of Sharm el Sheikh and a dozen or more dive boats at each site each with ten or more divers. I am not that keen on hotels either so living in a tent on the beach at the eco village at Shagra suits me just fine. When I first started to go there there were no hotels anywhere near but unfortunately they are gradually creeping down the coast and now there is a new airport nearby at Marsa Alam.
I like it so much I have now dived there four times.

A lucky shot. As we entered the rib to snorkel with the dolphins they started to move away so my buddy jumped in and clicked her camera as she entered the water. At Shaab Samadhi (Dolphin House Reef) there is a resident pod of Spinner Dolphins. If they feel like it and you don't try to approach them, they will swim with you.

The calm before the storm.
In the early hours of the morning the wind was so fierce it was difficult to see and sand was everywhere. Fortunately the tent stayed put.
